Pipe connection to drains

Selection criteria for pipe material & dimensions

Which pipe matches which drain?

When planning drain technology, it is necessary to check which pipes can be connected to the drains used. The drain body materials and the nominal size (DN) and outer diameter (OD) of the connection sockets must be taken into consideration.

Find out here about which dimensions different drains have and what options are available for the respective pipe connection.

Options for pipe connection to KESSEL drains

Here you will find an overview of the nominal pipe sizes DN and outer diameter OD of KESSEL drains and can discover which types of pipes and connection techniques are suitable for the respective pipe connection.

Polymer pipe connections

Polymer drains

  • Connection to polymer pipes (e.g. HT, KG) with the same OD and pipe sockets
  • Connection to cast pipes or similar with adapters
  • Welding with PE pipes only possible with yard drains System 400
Stainless steel pipe connections

Stainless steel drains

  • Connection to cast pipes in accordance with DIN 19522
  • Connection to stainless steel pipes with suitable diameters and wall thicknesses
Ecoguss pipe connections

Ecoguss drains

  • Direct connection to cast and polymer pipes with the same OD
  • Connection to pipes with other ODs with adapters
  • Dimensions of roof and parking deck drains made of Ecoguss: see polymer drains
