Box and slotted channels and floor drains with seepage openings can be produced to drain water between tiles and the waterproofing layer underneath tiles.
It is not recommended to use stainless steel channels with a seepage opening in commercial kitchen areas as a build-up in the channel, for example due to a blockage or high outflow volumes from kitchen appliances and sometimes greasy wastewater below the tiles and on the waterproofing layer of the kitchen floor can also get into the floor structure. The use of stainless steel channels with seepage openings must therefore be carefully checked with regard to hygiene requirements.
