Often it is not possible to route a stainless steel channel vertically down through the ceiling at the point where it is to be positioned for structural or visual reasons. In this case, it is advisable to provide a horizontal connection to the stainless steel channel. This means that the connection can be twisted to a point where it is possible to connect it to an existing drainage pipe or where a vertical penetration of the ceiling is possible.
Box channels with a channel width of 156 mm and slotted channels can be produced with connections at the side, see figure. Connections on the ends of the channels are also possible.
It is important to note whether an odour trap can be integrated into the stainless steel channel and whether it is possible to lay the connection cable with an adequate gradient.
If the integration of the odour trap is not possible in the channel due to the height of the floor structure or structural conditions, an odour trap must be integrated in the further run of the pipe.
